PM Meets UAE President to Strengthen Bilateral Ties

Prime Minister John Doe today met with His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the United Arab Emirates, in Abu Dhabi. The high-level talks centered around strengthening the long-standing bilateral relationship between the two countries and exploring new avenues for cooperation on economic, diplomatic, and strategic initiatives.

During the meeting, the two leaders discussed a range of key issues, including trade, investment, climate change, and regional security. They reaffirmed their commitment to deepening ties and expanding collaboration in sectors such as renewable energy, technology, and infrastructure development.

According to a joint statement, the Prime Minister and the UAE President agreed to establish a new high-level strategic dialogue to coordinate policies and explore opportunities for partnership. This dialogue will serve as a platform for regular consultations on matters of mutual interest and concern.

"Our nations have enjoyed a strong and productive relationship for many years, and we are committed to taking it to new heights," said the Prime Minister. "By working together closely, we can tackle shared challenges, drive economic growth, and promote regional stability."

The UAE is one of the UK's largest trading partners in the Middle East, with bilateral trade exceeding $32 billion in 2025. The two countries have also collaborated on a range of regional and global issues, including climate change, counterterrorism, and humanitarian aid.

"This meeting was an important opportunity to reaffirm the deep bonds between our nations and chart a course for even greater cooperation in the years ahead," said the UAE President.
