Trump Reignites Feud With De Niro Over 'Idiot' Criticism

Former President Donald Trump hits back at actor Robert De Niro's latest scathing remarks, doubling down on personal attacks and insults.
Trump has once again fired back at renowned actor Robert De Niro, who recently called the former president an "idiot" on a popular podcast. De Niro, a vocal critic of Trump's politics and character, made the comments during an episode of The Best People with host Nicole Wallace.
In his tirade, Trump described De Niro as "sick, demented, extremely low IQ and cries like a child", adding that the actor "has to work on his anger management problem" and is "doing very poorly" in his career. Trump also accused De Niro of being "incapable of using his brain" and suggested that the actor "should focus on his movie career, instead of talking about me and The Apprentice".

The latest exchange is just the latest chapter in the long-running feud between the two public figures, with De Niro having a history of strongly criticizing Trump's presidency and character. In 2018, the actor famously used an expletive to denounce Trump during the Tony Awards, receiving a standing ovation.
Despite the personal attacks, De Niro maintains that Trump is unfit for office and poses a threat to the country. "We gotta get rid of him. He's gonna ruin the country," the actor said in his latest remarks.
The ongoing feud between the two high-profile figures highlights the deep partisan divisions in the United States, with Trump and his supporters often engaging in personal attacks against critics and opponents. As the 2024 presidential election approaches, the war of words between Trump and De Niro is likely to continue, with both sides doubling down on their positions.
