Disturbing Conditions Exposed at Texas ICE Detention Facility

Shocking 911 calls from Camp East Montana reveal overcrowding, medical neglect, and malnutrition at the largest ICE detention center in the US.
Disturbing Conditions have been uncovered at the Camp East Montana Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention facility in El Paso, Texas, according to records obtained by the Associated Press. Overcrowding, medical neglect, and malnutrition have been regular features at the nation's largest ICE detention center since it opened last summer.
Data and recordings from over 100 911 calls at the facility, along with interviews and court filings, paint a disturbing portrait of the conditions faced by detainees. In the first five months of operation, staff made nearly one 911 call per day, with reports of serious medical and mental health emergencies, assaults, and emotional distress.
