Legendary Musketeer's Grave Discovered Under Church Floor

Archaeologists uncover a skeleton beneath a centuries-old church that may belong to the real-life inspiration for 'The Three Musketeers' hero, d'Artagnan.
A remarkable discovery has been made at a church in the Netherlands, where recent repairs to the centuries-old tile floor may have uncovered the long-lost grave of the legendary French Musketeer d'Artagnan. Known to many as the inspiration for the swashbuckling hero of The Three Musketeers, d'Artagnan was a real-life military officer and spy whose final resting place has been a mystery for over 350 years.
When the ground beneath the Saints Peter and Paul Church subsided earlier this year, cracking several of the blue tiles on the chapel floor, church staff decided to investigate further. Rumors had long circulated that d'Artagnan might be buried beneath the church, and the opportunity to uncover the truth was too compelling to pass up.
During the repairs, archaeologists carefully examined the area under the floor and were astonished to discover a well-preserved skeleton. Could this be the remains of the legendary Musketeer himself? According to historical records, d'Artagnan died during a siege in 1673, but the location of his burial has remained elusive until now.
