Royal Navy Destroyer Docks for Maintenance After Water System Issues

HMS Dragon, a UK type 45 destroyer, has docked in the eastern Mediterranean for a short maintenance stop after experiencing technical problems with its water systems.
The Royal Navy's type 45 destroyer, HMS Dragon, has docked in the eastern Mediterranean after facing technical issues with its water systems. The vessel was deployed to the region to reinforce security around the RAF Akrotiri base in Cyprus, just two days after the base was struck by a Shahed 136 drone.
According to the UK's Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, the deployment of HMS Dragon was announced on 3 March, as part of the government's efforts to bolster the defenses around the RAF base. The type 45 destroyer, which is known for its advanced technology and capabilities, was sent to the region to assist in securing the airbase and its surrounding areas.
