Ford CEO Warns Against Importing Chinese Cars: US Jobs at Risk

Ford's CEO Jim Farley argues that allowing Chinese vehicle imports would threaten nearly a million US manufacturing jobs, citing China's massive subsidies and data collection concerns.
Ford CEO Jim Farley has issued a strong warning against the risk of importing Chinese-made vehicles into the United States, arguing that the potential loss of nearly a million American manufacturing jobs is too high a price to pay. In an interview with Fox News, Farley highlighted the significant advantages China's auto industry enjoys, including massive government subsidies and excess production capacity that could easily meet US demand.
Farley pointed out that China currently has the ability to produce an additional 21 million vehicles per year on top of the 29 million vehicles expected to roll off Chinese production lines in 2026.
