Iran Rejects US Message Exchanges as Negotiations, Citing Lack of Trust

Iran has rejected the idea that its message exchanges with the United States via intermediaries like Witkoff constitute actual negotiations. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi made it clear that while the communication continues, there is a distinct lack of trust between the two countries.

Speaking to reporters, Araghchi emphasized that the message exchanges are not the same as negotiations. He stated,
