Meta Hikes Quest 3 Prices Up to $100 Due to RAM Shortage

Meta blames global memory shortage for raising prices on its latest Quest 3 VR headsets by up to $100 as the company faces increased hardware costs.
Meta, the tech giant behind the Quest line of virtual reality (VR) headsets, has announced a price hike for its latest Quest 3 models due to the ongoing global memory shortage.
Effective April 19th, the 128GB Quest 3S will now cost $349.99, up $50 from the previous price. The 256GB Quest 3S will be $449.99, also a $50 increase. The flagship Quest 3 model will see the steepest hike, going up by $100 to $599.99.
The price increases extend to refurbished units as well. The refurbished 128GB and 256GB Quest 3S models will cost $319.99 and $409.99 respectively, both a $50 jump. A refurbished Quest 3 will now set you back $549.99, a $170 increase.
