Airline Navigates Jet Fuel Costs Amid Global Volatility

Aurigny airline reveals no immediate shortage, but fuel prices have skyrocketed by 120% since the start of the war, impacting operations.
Despite the global energy crisis and ongoing geopolitical tensions, one regional airline is reporting that it does not anticipate a shortage of jet fuel for the next 4 to 6 weeks. Aurigny, an airline based in Guernsey, has revealed that while it is not facing an immediate supply crunch, the company is spending 120% more on fuel than it was prior to the outbreak of the war in Ukraine.
In a statement, Aurigny's managing director, Malcolm Coupar, acknowledged the significant financial strain the surge in fuel costs has placed on the airline's operations.
