Alarming UN Report: Israel Accused of 'Mass Expulsion' of Palestinians in the West Bank

The UN warns of a concerning increase in Israeli settler and army violence leading to the forced displacement of over 36,000 Palestinians in the West Bank.
In a stark warning, the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) has accused Israel of carrying out a 'mass expulsion of Palestinians' from the occupied West Bank. According to the UN agency, more than 36,000 Palestinians have been forcibly displaced over the past year due to escalating violence by Israeli settlers and the army.
The figures, which cover the period from January 2022 to January 2023, represent a significant increase compared to previous years. In 2021, the UN reported that around 9,600 Palestinians had been displaced in the West Bank. This alarming trend has sparked international concern and calls for immediate action to protect the rights of the Palestinian population.
