Amazon Halts Sideloading on New Fire TV Sticks, Embraces Proprietary Vega OS

Amazon is phasing out sideloading capabilities on its future Fire TV Stick models, focusing on its own Vega operating system. This move impacts customization and app access for users.
Amazon is making a major shift in its Fire TV Stick lineup, as the company has confirmed that all future models will run on its proprietary Vega OS, effectively eliminating the ability to sideload Android apps or other external software.
The writing has been on the wall for some time, with Amazon's developer website clearly stating that starting with the Fire TV Stick 4K Select, which was released in October, all upcoming Fire TV Stick devices will be powered by Vega. This announcement, which has been present on the website since at least January, represents a significant departure from Amazon's previous approach that allowed for greater customization and app access through sideloading.
