Army Families Reunited: Kenyan Children Discover UK Soldier Fathers

A groundbreaking DNA and legal project has identified the fathers of 20 children born near a military base in Kenya, reuniting families separated for decades.
Decades-long Separation of Kenyan children from their British soldier fathers has finally come to an end thanks to a pioneering DNA and legal project. For years, many of these children were told their fathers had died, only to learn the truth and finally make contact with their long-lost kin.
The project, launched by the charity Positive Action in Housing, has so far identified the fathers of 20 children born near the British Army Training Unit Kenya (BATUK) base in Nanyuki. Through DNA testing and legal efforts, these children are now being reconnected with their UK-based military families.
