Atlanta Hawks' Magic City Collaboration Sparks Criticism Over Women's Objectification

Spurs center Luke Kornet calls on Hawks to abandon partnership with popular Atlanta strip club, saying it helps objectify women
Atlanta Hawks' collaboration with the famous strip club Magic City has drawn criticism from San Antonio Spurs center Luke Kornet, who says the partnership helps objectify women. Magic City, a popular Atlanta institution that has been featured in numerous hip-hop records and hosted various rappers, is also known for being frequented by athletes, including Michael Jordan and MLS club Atlanta United.
In 2020, the club gained widespread attention when Los Angeles Clippers' Lou Williams visited it after leaving the NBA's quarantine bubble during the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, Kornet has called on the Hawks to abandon their collaboration with the club, arguing that it helps objectify women.
