Australia Sends Surveillance Planes and Missiles to Middle East for Civilian Defense

Australian PM announces deployment of aircraft, air-to-air missiles to UAE to protect civilians from Iranian threats, but says no offensive action or ground troops
In a move to bolster regional security and protect civilian populations, the Australian government has announced the deployment of a surveillance aircraft and supporting military personnel to the Middle East, as well as the provision of air-to-air missiles to the United Arab Emirates. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese stated that this action was taken in response to a request from the UAE president and is aimed at defending Australians and other civilians in the region from potential Iranian attacks.
The Australian Defence Force (ADF) will be sending the surveillance aircraft and accompanying personnel to the UAE for at least a month, with the air-to-air missiles also being provided as an additional defensive measure. Albanese emphasized that this deployment is not an offensive action against Iran and that no Australian ground troops will be involved in the operation.
