Bobi Wine's Dramatic Escape: Ugandan Opposition Leader Flees Amid Post-Election Turmoil

Uganda's opposition leader Bobi Wine claims he has left the country after hiding for two months following January's disputed election. He alleges the result, which kept President Museveni in power, was fraudulent.
Bobi Wine, the Ugandan opposition leader, has revealed that he has fled the country after spending two months in hiding following the country's January elections. Wine, a popular musician-turned-politician, has long been a thorn in the side of President Yoweri Museveni, who has ruled Uganda with an iron fist for over three decades.
In the aftermath of the January elections, which saw Museveni retain power, Wine has been vocal in his allegations of election fraud. He has claimed that the results were rigged and that the process was not free or fair. Museveni, on the other hand, has dismissed these allegations and insisted that the elections were a true reflection of the will of the Ugandan people.
