Britain Calls Out Russia's Escalating Threats in Ukraine
The UK strongly denounces Russia's intensifying aggression, including nuclear posturing and missile deployments, calling for immediate risk reduction measures in the region.
Britain has strongly condemned Russia's escalating military activity and disinformation campaigns in Ukraine, urging the Kremlin to reengage in risk reduction efforts to prevent further conflict.
In a statement delivered to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), Lt Col Joby Rimmer, the UK's Senior Military Advisor, reaffirmed London's unwavering support for Ukraine and its sovereignty. He decried Russia's nuclear rhetoric and missile deployments as deeply concerning actions that risk further destabilizing the region.
Rimmer called on Russia to immediately cease its aggressive posturing and re-engage in constructive risk reduction efforts to prevent the situation from spiraling out of control. He stressed the importance of upholding the principles of the OSCE and international law, which Russia has repeatedly violated through its illegal invasion of Ukraine.
