With flights in and out of Iran severely restricted, many British travelers have found themselves stranded, forced to extend their stays and pay exorbitant prices for lodging and food.

One British woman, who asked to remain anonymous, told the BBC that she had missed a crucial chemo appointment due to being unable to leave Iran.
