Citizenship Rally at Supreme Court: 'We Are an Immigrant Nation'

Hundreds gather at the Supreme Court to defend birthright citizenship as Trump watches from the public gallery in a rare appearance.
Hundreds of demonstrators packed the steps of the Supreme Court on Wednesday, chanting in defense of birthright citizenship as Donald Trump himself watched from the public gallery in an unprecedented appearance.
The protesters were there to underscore Trump's court presence and defend the 14th Amendment right to citizenship, which the former president has repeatedly sought to challenge. Among the crowd were Beija McCarter, an eighth-grade U.S. history teacher, and Noah Goldstein, a New Yorker who also attended last month's trans rights rally.
