Cricket Governing Body Fines Star Player for Social Media Controversy

Pakistan Cricket Board imposes hefty penalty on rising talent Naseem Shah for criticizing political figure's attendance at major sports event.
Naseem Shah, the rising star of Pakistani cricket, has found himself in hot water after being slapped with a hefty fine by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for a social media post questioning the presence of Maryam Nawaz, the daughter of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, at a recent Pakistan Super League (PSL) match.
The controversy erupted after Shah, who is part of the Quetta Gladiators team in the PSL, took to social media to express his dismay at the fact that while regular fans were not allowed to attend the opening match of the tournament, Maryam Nawaz, who is also the Vice President of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) party, was present at the stadium.
