Tensions are running high in Karachi, Pakistan, following a deadly protest at the US consulate that left at least 9 people killed. The demonstration was sparked by the recent assassination of Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in a joint US and Israeli strike.
The protesters, many of whom were believed to be supporters of pro-Iran groups, gathered outside the US consulate to denounce the killing of Khamenei. Clashes erupted between the demonstrators and security forces, with the authorities responding with tear gas and live ammunition to disperse the crowd.
