Deadly Storms Batter Pakistan and India, Leaving Trail of Destruction

Unseasonal heavy rains, thunderstorms, and high winds ravage southern Pakistan and northwest India, causing widespread damage and claiming at least 18 lives in Karachi alone.
In a shocking turn of events, southern Pakistan and northwest India have been battered by a bout of severe, unseasonal weather that has left a trail of destruction in its wake. The storm system, which rolled in from the west, brought heavy rains, thunderstorms, hail, and strong winds that have proven to be deadly and disruptive.
Karachi, Pakistan's largest city, has been hit particularly hard, with the region recording more than 50mm of rain and winds gusting up to 60mph. The intensity of the storm has resulted in the collapse of walls, buildings, and even a pedestrian bridge, leading to widespread flooding and power outages across the city.
