Delta Turbulence Chaos: Crew Hospitalized After Severe Air Pockets Hit Flight to Sydney

3 flight attendants rushed to hospital after Delta flight from LA to Sydney hit major turbulence during descent, injuring 4 crew members.
Delta flight 41 from Los Angeles to Sydney encountered a terrifying bout of severe turbulence just before landing on Friday morning, leaving three flight attendants hospitalized and a total of four crew members injured.
The flight was making its descent into Sydney airport when it hit a patch of rough air, causing the cabin to violently shake and several crew members to suffer injuries. A Delta spokesperson confirmed the incident, stating that the turbulence occurred "shortly before landing" in the Australian city.
Emergency crews were immediately dispatched to the airport to tend to the injured crew members, with three of the flight attendants requiring transport to a local hospital for further evaluation and treatment. The extent of their injuries is currently unknown, but all four crew members affected are reported to be in stable condition.
Passengers on board the Delta flight 41 were shaken but largely unharmed, save for some minor bruises and scrapes from the sudden jolts. One traveler described the turbulence as "the worst I've ever experienced," with the plane dropping suddenly and violently tossing luggage and crew members around the cabin.
