Devastating Blow to Iran: Khamenei Assassinated in Targeted Strikes

Massive mourning sweeps Iran as Supreme Leader Khamenei is killed in US-Israeli operation. IRGC vows fierce regional retaliation, sparking fears of escalating conflict.
Tehran, Iran - The Islamic Republic of Iran is in a state of deep mourning after the shocking assassination of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in a series of targeted missile strikes carried out by US and Israeli forces. Thousands have taken to the streets across the country, wailing and chanting slogans condemning the attack.
The attacks, which also killed several senior commanders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), were swiftly claimed by American and Israeli officials as a joint operation aimed at crippling Iran's leadership and military capabilities. Khamenei, who had ruled Iran with an iron fist for over three decades, was killed instantly when the strikes hit his convoy as he was being transported between government facilities in the capital.
