Mark Robinson, the former Republican lieutenant governor of North Carolina who ran for governor in 2024, has admitted to misleading voters during his unsuccessful campaign about posting racist and offensive comments on a pornography website. In a shocking revelation, Robinson suggested he did so in order to protect Donald Trump's successful presidential run.

Robinson, who previously worked in the furniture manufacturing industry before entering politics in 2020, told the After the Call podcast on Thursday:
