Duke's Breakout Freshman Cameron Boozer Wins National Player of the Year

Cameron Boozer, son of NBA star Carlos Boozer, led Duke to 35 wins and a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament as a freshman. He's the 5th freshman to win National Player of the Year.
Cameron Boozer, the 6'9" freshman forward for Duke University, has been named the AP's men's college basketball national player of the year. Boozer is only the fifth freshman to earn this prestigious honor, and the second in a row for the Duke program, which now has the longest list of winners in the country.
Boozer was at the center of everything for Duke this season, proving himself to be a tough, versatile, and skilled player who could impact the game in multiple ways. He showed the ability to score through physical play, space the floor and shoot from outside, and make plays for his teammates - whether against constant double teams or while running the entire offense from up top.
