Europe Faces Jet Fuel Crisis as Iran War Impacts Oil Supplies

Global energy watchdog warns Europe has just 6 weeks of jet fuel left due to the Iran war, predicting imminent flight cancellations if supplies aren't restored soon.
Europe is facing a looming jet fuel crisis as a result of the ongoing Iran war, according to the head of a global energy watchdog. Fatih Birol, the executive director of the International Energy Agency (IEA), has warned that the continent has only about six weeks' worth of jet fuel supplies left before shortages start to hit, potentially leading to widespread flight cancellations.
Birol's stark warning underscores the severe energy supply disruptions caused by the Iran conflict, which has choked off crucial oil exports from the Middle East. With oil and fuel shipments from the region severely limited, European airlines and airports are now facing the prospect of a debilitating jet fuel shortage in the coming weeks if the situation is not resolved.
