Feds Unleash ICE Agents at US Airports to Tackle Shutdown Chaos

In a controversial move, the Trump administration is deploying ICE agents to US airports to assist TSA amid long lines caused by the government shutdown.
As the partial government shutdown drags on, the Trump administration has taken the controversial step of sending Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents to assist with security at US airports across the country. The move comes in response to extremely long lines at airport checkpoints, with many Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agents having worked without pay since the shutdown began on February 14.
According to Trump and his border czar Tom Homan, the ICE agents will be deployed to airports starting on Monday to help alleviate the chaos caused by the shutdown. Homan will be leading the effort to utilize ICE resources to supplement the overwhelmed TSA workforce.
