Gaza Mom Fights for 3 Imprisoned Sons on Prisoners' Day

As Palestinians mark Prisoners' Day, Inaam al-Dahdouh shares her heartbreaking story of waiting for news of her three sons, taken by Israel two years ago.
Gaza City - For the past two years, Inaam al-Dahdouh has been living in a constant state of fear and uncertainty, waiting for any news about the fate of her three sons who were arrested by Israeli forces in 2020. As Palestinians across the occupied territories mark Prisoners' Day, al-Dahdouh's story exemplifies the plight of thousands of families whose loved ones have been taken away, with no clear timeline for their release or even knowledge of their whereabouts.
Al-Dahdouh's sons - Ahmad, 26, Rami, 23, and Moath, 22 - were arrested during a military raid on their home in the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip in February 2020. Since then, the family has been navigating the complex and opaque Israeli military justice system, with little information about the charges against the young men or when they might be allowed to see them again.
