Green Leader Unveils Wellbeing-Focused Economic Vision

Green Party Leader Zack Polanski outlines plans to prioritize mental health, social cohesion, and community welfare over GDP growth targets.
Green Party Leader Zack Polanski has delivered a major speech outlining his party's vision for the economy, pledging to ditch GDP growth targets in favor of a focus on public wellbeing. Polanski condemned what he called "rip-off Britain," where a minority of asset owners profit at the expense of the public paying unaffordable prices for housing and other essentials.
In his first major economic policy address since taking over as leader six months ago, Polanski made clear that a Green government would not set targets for GDP growth. Instead, the party would prioritize mental health, social cohesion, and community welfare. Polanski argued that this shift in focus would better serve the interests of the British people than the current fixation on economic expansion at all costs.
