Gulf nations Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates have forcefully condemned Iranian aggression during a United Nations Security Council meeting, calling for a robust international response to the escalating tensions in the region.
Speaking before the Security Council, the Saudi and Emirati ambassadors to the UN decried Iran's campaign of attacks on oil infrastructure, commercial shipping, and other targets in the Gulf, warning that such actions threaten regional stability and the global economy.
The envoys urged the Security Council to take firm action to hold Iran accountable for its destabilizing behavior, which has included a series of drone and missile strikes on Saudi Arabia and the UAE in recent months.
