In a somber announcement, the Pentagon has released the names of the final two U.S. soldiers killed in a drone strike at a command center in Kuwait. The tragic incident claimed the lives of six brave individuals, and their identities have now been made public.
The two soldiers identified on Wednesday were 55-year-old Chief Warrant Officer 3 Robert Marzan of Sacramento, California, and 45-year-old Sergeant First Class Michael Johnson of West Des Moines, Iowa. They joined four other fallen servicemembers whose names were previously announced: 37-year-old Captain Emily Thompson of Boise, Idaho; 42-year-old Major Sarah Wilson of Denver, Colorado; 28-year-old Specialist David Nguyen of San Jose, California; and 33-year-old Sergeant Liam O'Connor of Chicago, Illinois.
The attack, which occurred earlier this month, has been a devastating blow to the military community and the families of those lost. Chief Warrant Officer Marzan and Sergeant First Class Johnson were both seasoned veterans, with decades of experience serving their country.
