IAEA Expresses Alarm Over Attacks on Iran's Nuclear Facility

The UN nuclear watchdog voices grave concerns as Iran reports new incidents at the Bushehr nuclear power plant, raising fears of a potential disaster.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the UN's nuclear watchdog, has expressed deep concern over a series of incidents reported at Iran's Bushehr nuclear power plant. The agency is urging restraint to avoid the risk of a nuclear accident at the facility.
In a statement, the IAEA said it was closely monitoring the situation at Bushehr and called on all parties to exercise maximum caution to prevent any further escalation that could jeopardize nuclear safety. The agency also reiterated its readiness to provide assistance to Iran if needed to help ensure the safety and security of the plant.
The Bushehr nuclear power plant, located on the Persian Gulf coast, is Iran's only nuclear power facility. It has been the target of several incidents in recent months, including a drone attack in January and a fire in July, which prompted safety concerns and raised the specter of a potential nuclear disaster.
