Karim Khan, the Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, has been cleared of sexual misconduct allegations by judges, according to a recent report.
Karim Khan, the Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), has been cleared of sexual misconduct allegations by judges, according to a recent report. Khan had denied the allegations and took voluntary leave from his position in May.
The allegations were made by a staff member, and an independent review panel was appointed to investigate the claims. The panel has now concluded its investigation and found no evidence to support the allegations, according to a report by The Hague-based court.
The ICC said in a statement that the judges "found no evidence of misconduct" by Khan, and that he has now returned to his position as Chief Prosecutor. The statement also said that the court takes all allegations of misconduct "extremely seriously" and will "continue to uphold the highest standards of integrity and professionalism" in its work.
