Iran Dismisses Impact of Larijani Killing on Political Stability

Iran's Foreign Minister claims US-Israeli assassinations will not destabilize the country's 'strong political structure', despite concerns over the killing of top official Larijani.
Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has asserted that the recent killing of a prominent Iranian official will not destabilize the country's political system. Zarif's comments come in the wake of the assassination of Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, a top nuclear scientist who was gunned down near Tehran last month.
In an interview, Zarif dismissed concerns that the killing of Fakhrizadeh, as well as the 2020 assassination of Qassem Soleimani, a senior Revolutionary Guard commander, would undermine Iran's political stability. He argued that Tehran's political structure is too robust to be toppled by such US-Israeli attacks.
