Iran Refutes Reports of US-Iran Negotiations

Iran's Foreign Ministry strongly denies recent claims of ongoing negotiations between Iran and the United States, calling them 'baseless rumors'.
In a swift response to recent media reports suggesting ongoing negotiations between Iran and the United States, Iran's Foreign Ministry has firmly denied the existence of any such talks. The ministry's spokesperson, Nasser Kanaani, categorically dismissed the claims, labeling them as 'baseless rumors' and emphasizing the country's unwavering stance on the matter.
The denials come amidst a backdrop of heightened tensions between Iran and the West, particularly over the ongoing negotiations to revive the 2015 nuclear deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). The deal, which aimed to curb Iran's nuclear program in exchange for sanctions relief, has been a subject of contention since the United States unilaterally withdrew from it in 2018 under the Trump administration.
