Iran's Deadly Drones Terrorize Arab Gulf Countries

Iran's Shahed-136 kamikaze drones have become a menacing force, causing destruction across the Arab Gulf after proving their effectiveness in the Ukraine conflict.
Iran's arsenal of cheap, disposable drones has become a growing threat to stability in the Arab Gulf region. The Shahed-136 kamikaze drone, which has already demonstrated its devastating capabilities on the battlefields of Ukraine, is now being used by Iran to wreak havoc across the Middle East.
These low-cost, suicide drones are capable of carrying explosive payloads and being launched in swarms, overwhelming air defenses. Iran has been funneling these drones to its proxies and allies across the region, including the Houthi rebels in Yemen, Hezbollah in Lebanon, and militias in Iraq.
The results have been disastrous for the targeted Arab Gulf countries, who have struggled to defend against the onslaught of these nimble, hard-to-detect drones. Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and others have reported numerous attacks on vital infrastructure, military bases, and even civilian areas.
