Iran's Escalating Attacks Strain Israel's Air Defenses

Israel's air defense system struggled to counter recent Iranian missile strikes, raising concerns about the country's security amidst rising regional tensions.
Israel's air defense system faced a significant challenge in recent weeks, as it failed to stop at least two Iranian missile attacks on southern Israel. This latest escalation in tensions between the two nations has sparked concerns about Israel's ability to protect its citizens from such threats.
The first attack occurred on January 1st, when an Iranian missile strike targeted an airport near the city of Eilat, a popular tourist destination in southern Israel. While the air defense system managed to intercept some of the missiles, at least two made it through, causing damage to the airport's infrastructure.
