Israel Accused of Systematically Targeting Medical Facilities in South Lebanon

Lebanese healthcare workers say Israeli bombings have deliberately struck medical facilities, including with deadly double-tap strikes, in an effort to make the area uninhabitable.
Israel has been deliberately targeting medical facilities and healthcare workers in south Lebanon, according to medics and officials in the country. They say there has been a systematic use of double-tap strikes in a campaign to make the region unlivable.
Since the war began on March 2nd, Israel has struck at least 128 medical facilities and ambulances across south Lebanon, killing 40 healthcare workers and wounding 107, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health. The war started when Hezbollah launched rockets at Israel, triggering an Israeli military campaign.
Lebanese officials and healthcare workers have described a systematic effort by Israel to target the medical infrastructure in the region. They say the double-tap strikes - where an initial attack is followed by a second strike targeting first responders - have been a particularly devastating tactic.
