Kaori Sakamoto, the legendary Japanese figure skater, closed out her illustrious career in style by capturing her fourth World Championship title at the Figure Skating World Championships in Prague, Czechia on Friday. The 25-year-old skating icon put on an emotional and personal-best performance, earning a score of 238.28 to cement her place as one of the all-time greats in the sport.
Sakamoto's historic victory makes her the first women's single skater to win four world titles since the iconic Michelle Kwan, who last accomplished the feat in 2003. The Japanese star's remarkable career also includes four Olympic medals, including two silver medals at this year's Milan Cortina Games.
