Long-Lost Coldstream Guards Officer's Grave Rededicated in France

The unidentified grave of a Coldstream Guards officer from Kent who died in 1940 has been discovered and rededicated over 85 years later in France.
Decades after his mysterious disappearance, the grave of a British Army officer who served with the 2nd Battalion of the Coldstream Guards has finally been identified and rededicated in France. The officer, hailing from the county of Kent, was killed in action in 1940 but his final resting place remained unknown for over 85 years – until now.
The Coldstream Guards, one of the oldest and most prestigious infantry regiments in the British Army, has a long and storied history dating back to the 17th century. During World War II, the 2nd Battalion was deployed to France as part of the British Expeditionary Force, tasked with defending against the advancing German army. It was during this campaign that the unnamed officer from Kent made the ultimate sacrifice, his life cut short on the battlefield.
