Majority Sees U.S. Union in Decline, Poll Shows

As President prepares for State of the Union, survey finds most Americans believe the country is worse off and the state of the union is not strong.
Ahead of the State of the Union address, a new poll suggests President Trump faces an uphill battle in convincing the public that the state of the union is strong. The survey found that a majority of Americans believe the country is worse off now than it was a year ago, and that the state of the union is not strong.
The poll, conducted by a respected non-partisan research firm, revealed that 58% of respondents said the state of the union is not strong, while only 38% said it is strong. Additionally, 54% said the country is worse off compared to a year ago, with just 32% saying it is better off.
