Egeland warns that the scale of displacement in the region is pushing aid systems to the breaking point.
In an interview with Al Jazeera, Egeland emphasized the severity of the situation, stating, "We have not seen this level of displacement since the Second World War." He noted that the number of people being forced to flee their homes has reached unprecedented levels, with the situation only expected to worsen in the coming years.
