NASA Unveils $20B Lunar Base to Establish Permanent Moon Presence

NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman has unveiled ambitious plans to construct a $20 billion lunar base, establishing a permanent human presence on the Moon. This announcement, made during NASA's Ignition event on Tuesday, marks a significant shift in the agency's lunar exploration strategy, as it abandons its previous Gateway project in favor of this new infrastructure-focused approach.

According to Isaacman, the proposed lunar base will help NASA achieve its goal of maintaining an
