Navigating Iran's Transition: Introducing the Interim Leadership Council

As Iran awaits the selection of Khamenei's successor, a three-member leadership council, including Ayatollah Arafi, has been tasked with guiding the nation during this critical period.
Iran has entered a new phase of transition following the recent passing of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In the interim, a three-member leadership council has been appointed to oversee the country's affairs until a permanent successor is chosen.
The council, which includes Ayatollah Arafi, a prominent religious figure, has been entrusted with the responsibility of maintaining stability and continuity in Iran during this crucial period. This temporary leadership structure is designed to ensure a smooth transition of power and prevent any potential power vacuum or power struggles.
Arafi, who serves as the head of the Council of Seminaries, is joined on the council by two other senior officials: Mohammad Mehdi Esmaili, the current Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, and Gholamhossein Esmaeili, the spokesperson for the Judiciary.
