Mohammadi's brother, Behnam Mohammadi, has expressed grave concerns for her immediate safety and has called for her urgent transfer to a hospital for proper medical care.
Mohammadi, who was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2021 for her tireless efforts in defending human rights and advocating for the abolition of the death penalty in Iran, has been imprisoned since 2015 on charges that human rights groups have condemned as politically motivated.
