Mikayla Blakes ended up with two chances to answer for Vanderbilt in a matchup of two of the nation's top three scorers in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.
Hidalgo's late assist set up the winning basket for the Irish, as they held off a valiant effort from Vanderbilt and Blakes to secure their spot in the Elite Eight. The star guard's performance was truly historic, as she flirted with a rare quadruple-double, posting 31 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists, and 8 steals.
