As the war in Sudan rages on, one hospital has become a glimmer of hope in the midst of the chaos. The Tropical Medicine Hospital in Khartoum is the country's sole functioning medical facility, serving as a lifeline for those battling tropical diseases that ravage the region.
The hospital, which has remained operational throughout the four-year conflict, is a testament to the resilience and dedication of its staff. According to Sudan's Ministry of Health, an alarming 37 percent of the country's health facilities are now out of service, leaving millions without access to essential medical care.
