Outer Dowsing Offshore Wind Farm Approved for Development

The UK government has granted development consent for the Outer Dowsing offshore wind farm project, a major milestone in the renewable energy transition.
The UK government has approved the development of the Outer Dowsing offshore wind farm project, a significant step forward in the country's renewable energy transition. The Outer Dowsing project, located off the northeast coast of England, has been granted development consent by the Secretary of State, paving the way for the construction of this large-scale offshore wind facility.
The Outer Dowsing wind farm will be situated approximately 35 kilometers off the Lincolnshire coast and will have a total generating capacity of up to 1.5 gigawatts (GW), making it one of the largest offshore wind projects in the UK. The project is being developed by Offshore Wind Ltd, a subsidiary of the renewable energy company Equinor, and is expected to play a crucial role in helping the UK meet its ambitious climate change and renewable energy targets.
