Paddington: The Musical has emerged triumphant at the prestigious Olivier Awards, securing a remarkable seven prizes that cemented its status as a West End sensation. In a glittering ceremony at the Royal Albert Hall in London, the duffle coat-wearing bear made his mark, proving that sometimes, a little marmalade can go a long way.
The award for best actor in a musical was shared by the duo who bring Paddington to life on stage - James Hameed, who provides the lovable hero's voice and serves as the remote puppeteer, and Arti Shah, who dons the furry costume to bring the character to physical life. The show's antagonists were also recognized, with Tom Edden (as the busybody Mr. Curry) and Victoria Hamilton-Barritt (as Millicent Clyde, who wants Paddington to literally get stuffed) winning best supporting actor and best supporting actress in a musical, respectively.
