Pakistan Brokers Diplomatic Talks to Ease US-Iran Tensions

Top officials from Pakistan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Turkey meet to lay the groundwork for de-escalation between the US and Iran, aiming to encourage dialogue and diplomacy.
In a diplomatic initiative aimed at cooling rising tensions between the United States and Iran, Pakistan hosted a high-level meeting involving top representatives from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey. The four-nation gathering sought to lay the groundwork for potential de-escalation and a return to diplomacy between Washington and Tehran.
The meeting brought together Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari of Pakistan, Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry of Egypt, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel al-Jubeir of Saudi Arabia, and Deputy Foreign Minister Sedat Önal of Turkey. The discussions focused on identifying potential paths forward to ease the longstanding animosity between the United States and Iran, which has flared up in recent years.
